As he prepares to start the first game of the regular season, head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Purdy (elbow) will no longer require planned off-days during weekly practices.

According to the timeline the 49ers gave this past offseason, it appears that Purdy is increasing his physical activity just in time for Week 1. Shanahan even said that Purdy would participate in one of the 49ers' last two exhibition games, the first of which is this Saturday against the Broncos. Any health worries fantasy managers may have for last year's rookie standout going into draft season would be allayed if they saw a healthy Purdy play in a practice game. The 23-year-old will lead an offense with explosive weapons wherever he looks once he is ready to go.
