Nigel Farage made a remark about "European greed" in the most recent episode of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, and Fred Sirieix took offense.
Before the first elimination of this year, Sirieix, the star of First Dates, became enraged with Farage once more over an environmental conversation in which he informed him he was "fixated" on placing the blame for problems on other European nations. Farage was the previous leader of UKIP and the Brexit Party.
As Farage was eating leftover boiled eel for breakfast, the conversation started. "I wonder how many people have had eel risotto for breakfast at home," he remarked. Our methods of fishing parts of the waters are not very environmentally friendly.
Retired boxer Tony Bellew retorted, "We're destroying the oceans," to which Farage informed his fellow campers that he had "spoken about" in parliament. When Farage said that "European greed" was at blame,
The GB News host was then cut off by Sirieix, who said, "You have to stop saying that because it's not just European greed; the world is overfishing." In all of this, you have to stop referring to European greed. Nigel, this is just not right.
"You're fixated on this and you keep on with this narrative," the First Dates maître d' said, as Farage tried to "assure" Sirieix he was right.
Later, Siriex wrote in the Bush Telegraph, "He never answers the questions," still upset with their talk. However, are you aware of the reason? since he is speaking foolishly.
There have previously been disagreements between Farage and Sirieix.
Sirieix approached Farage early in the 2023 series about what he called a "shameful" 2016 Brexit poster that showed a line of distressed refugees trying to reach Europe with the tagline "Breaking Point."
