The General, a new song by Guns N' Roses that will be released in October, is being teased. |
The General, a brand-new song from Guns N' Roses, is scheduled to be released later this year.
The song will appear as the B-side on a 7-inch vinyl version of the band's forthcoming single, "Perhaps," which will be available on October 27. You can place preorders here.
Guns N' Roses, meanwhile, debuted 'Perhaps' live for the first time at the PNC Park in Pittsburgh on Friday, August 18, the same day the song was released.
Axl Rose, the band's leader, said as he introduced the song, "Forgive me if I don't run around and try to project as much because I'm gonna try to figure out how to fucking sing it live." I like to imagine that while we were writing this song, it was similar to the perfect inception.
According to reports, "Perhaps" was supposed to be released on August 11 but was postponed for unclear reasons at the time of publication.
The next day (August 12), however, it was accidentally leaked into bars in America, allowing fans to hear it. The song, along with any prospective artwork, was made available on TouchTunes digital jukeboxes all around the United States.
When fans lined up to see the band in Tel Aviv overheard the members practicing "Perhaps" before the performance, rumors that Rose and company may be bringing the song back for an official release initially surfaced earlier this year.
