| FIBA World Cup results and schedule for 2023 |
Men's basketball's 2023 FIBA World Cup will take place from August 25 to September 10 and be co-hosted by the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia.
32 teams were divided into eight groups, just to the World Cup in soccer. The top two from each group carry over their points to the second round, which consists of 16 teams divided into four groups. The quarterfinals are made up of the top two players from each of the groups.
Except for France, which automatically qualifies as the host nation, the top two teams from the Americas and Europe advance to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Additionally, the best team from each of Africa, Asia, and Oceania qualifies.
