Sara Sharif Pakistani law enforcement expands its search for family |
The search for the family of a 10-year-old girl found dead at her Surrey home is being expanded, according to Pakistani police.
After Sara Sharif's body was found by police on August 10 at a residence in Hammond Road, Woking, detectives began a worldwide manhunt.
The day before, her father Urfan, his boyfriend, and his brother had left for Pakistan.
An inquest into Sara's death is expected to commence at Woking Coroner's Court on Tuesday.
After receiving fresh information from numerous sources, Pakistani police informed the BBC that they had increased their search area to include two more regions near the city of Jhelum, bringing the total to four areas.
After a post-mortem examination failed to pinpoint the precise cause of death, Surrey Police announced that more investigations were being conducted.
Sara's father Urfan Sharif, 41, his partner Beinash Batool, 29, and his brother Faisal Malik, 28, are the three individuals sought by the police.
Shortly after arriving in Islamabad, Mr. Sharif, 41, placed the 999 call from Pakistan that led to the discovery of Sara's body, according to the police.
