Predictions for the Premier League: Bournemouth to shock Liverpool |
Jones Knows, our go-to expert on betting advice, is back to offer his picks and analysis for the entire Premier League schedule.
Saturday at 3 p.m.: Fulham vs. Brentford
Is Rico Henry the Premier League's most underappreciated player? For the past two seasons, he has regularly performed at this level, displaying good one-on-one defensive acumen and posing a significant threat when he joins assaults.
It says it all that he isn't even projected to make England's 26-man World Cup roster. He is far and away the next in line if anything happened to Ben Chilwell or Luke Shaw, guys he is not that inferior to either. He displayed extremely advanced wingback play against Tottenham, frequently attempting to break the line, and producing three chances for his team, one of which was converted by Yoane Wissa. If he follows the same strategy today, the 5/1 odds that he will record another assist in a game that should feature several goals are highly intriguing.
Wolves vs. Brighton, Saturday, 3pm, predicted score: 2-3 - PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!
Brighton was almost 4/7 with Sky Bet for this matchup before Wolves had played a single game this year. Then, Gary O'Neil's team stormed Old Trafford with an energetic, well-planned, and focused performance that showed early indicators that they'll be alright. It was a performance that caused the Brighton price to increase by about 13% to 10/11. That is pretty tempting for a squad that, in my opinion, is still a top-four candidate this year, but I'm all for backing the goal-line rather than participating in the outright market.

The price that jumps out at me is the 11/10 on both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals in the game. Roberto De Zerbi has had success with this wager in 14 of 20 away games, and with Moises Caicedo gone, the average goal total under him this season may even increase. That was demonstrated against Luton last weekend, as the newcomers produced plenty of opportunities for counterattacks. Brighton could just need some time to adjust to the new defensive balance without their elite midfield destroyer.
