Trump defeated Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, and she claims she did not 'feel any satisfaction' as a result of the 13 more criminal charges brought against him.

As 13 further criminal charges were brought against the former president in Georgia on Monday night, Hillary Clinton claimed she did not "feel any satisfaction" about the terrible legal situation Donald Trump is in. The former senator, secretary of state, and candidate for president claimed that she felt "great profound sadness" instead.

Trump defeated Clinton, who was 75, in the 2016 election. She was scheduled to appear on MSNBC on Monday in part to discuss a recent article in the Atlantic about the issue of loneliness in US society. Then, however, information about Trump's most recent arrests for interfering with an election in Georgia in 2020 surfaced.

"I didn't think that [the appearance] would be under these circumstances, yet another set of indictments," Clinton chuckled.

It's difficult to believe, she remarked. "I don't feel satisfied in any way. I am extremely saddened by the fact that our former president is currently facing numerous charges that directly affect the viability of our democracy.

It was unknown what allegations Trump was facing in Georgia as Clinton spoke. It soon became apparent that he had been charged with 13 charges, including conspiracy and racketeering.

The 77-year-old former president is currently under investigation in four jurisdictions, including Georgia, New York (for hush money payments to an adult film actor), and the federal level for alleged election interference and retention of confidential documents.

Regardless, Trump consistently leads his closest challengers in Republican polling for the presidency the following year by more than 30 points. Leading Republicans came to his defense on Monday night, defending his innocence against political persecution.

Fani Willis, the district attorney for Fulton County, filed charges against 19 people for their roles in the effort to overturn Joe Biden's victory in Georgia, including prominent Trump supporters Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and John Eastman.

"If you stop and think about what the public evidence is," Clinton added, "[Trump] set out to swindle the United States of America and the people who make up our country.

"He utilized tactics, intimidation, threats, and harassment. He and his allies targeted state and local officials who are in charge of overseeing elections. Now that we know they did the breaching themselves, we know they even looked into the voting machines to see whether they had been compromised in any way.

As a result, a lot of information is already available to the public. Clearly, a thorough examination has been conducted. However, I don't think anyone should be happy with this. The fact that a former president is being charged with such grave offenses is bad for our nation.

Trump frequently accused Clinton of misconduct in 2016, inciting "lock her up" cries at his rallies. A president who is charged with a crime and is put on trial for it would "create an unprecedented constitutional crisis" and "cripple the operations of government," according to remarks Trump made soon before the election, which CNN uncovered last month.

Trump will now stand trial in five criminal cases and one civil case, all of which will take place during the Republican primary.

The only satisfaction, according to Clinton, may be that the system is operating. that justice is being pursued in spite of all the efforts made by Donald Trump, his cronies, and his enablers to stifle the truth and damage democracy.
