Additionally, Georgia and New York have filed state lawsuits against Trump.
He is accused of falsifying business papers in Manhattan in connection with a payment made to hide a romance with adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
Trump and 18 other defendants have been charged in Fulton County, Georgia, with conspiring in a racketeering plan to rig the state's 2020 election results.
Trump was presented with 13 counts on Thursday and had his mugshot taken, a first for a former US president. He was then lodged into the Fulton County jail as inmate P01135809.
The 77-year-old also shared his own mugshot in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, for the first time since 2021. Trump utilized the social networking site for the first time since owner Elon Musk removed his ban.
At a time when he is running for re-election, Trump accused his political rivals of interfering in the election.
"What has happened here is a mockery of the justice system. We did nothing improper, he insisted.
"Everyone knows that I did nothing wrong. I've never experienced such help.
Mr. Trump has a history of denying wrongdoing.
He claimed last week on social media that he was facing legal action because of what he called a "perfect phone call" in which he begged Brad Raffensperger, the secretary of state for the Georgia Republican Party, to assist him "find 11,780 votes" to overturn his defeat.
Trump is still the favorite to represent the Republican Party in the 2024 presidential race, despite the accusations.
He chose to participate in an online interview on Wednesday night rather than watch a discussion between eight of his party rivals on television. In the interview, he questioned Mr. Biden's physical fitness for the campaign.
