Jake Doyle-Hayes, a graduate of the Aston Villa system, has been given the all-clear to play against his old team. Dylan Levitt won't play, though, due to an ankle issue. However, Dylan Vente has good news: the Dutch striker is back in the lineup after recuperating from a facial injury.

Although Hibs manager Lee Johnson acknowledges that his club is not the favorite to defeat the Premier League team, he says that they are highly driven to succeed.

"You're aware of that buzz. This is who and where we want to be.be battling against," Johnson said to the media prior to the contest. "I believe we have a great potential to improve the club's reputation. We've put ourselves in an excellent position to go up against the likely competition favorites.

It's a very difficult task. We must each contribute our unique brilliance to the game. We are always a menace. We move quickly and have ambitions in us. We must respect Aston Villa's advantages while being incredibly confident in our own abilities. Here, it's not just about the guys showing up for some fun. Even though we aren't supposed to win, we can nonetheless succeed.

squad news for Aston Villa
John McGinn, the captain of Villa, will reunite with the squad he played for from 2015 to 2018 for three seasons. He told reporters prior to the game: "I never got the chance when I departed to convey my appreciation to the supporters or anyone there. I remember leaving, but you don't want to be the guy who performs a lap of honor and waits for praise. I simply started jogging as usual.

"It will be nice to see the supporters and thank them for what was an amazing three years, but at the same time, when the whistle goes, I hope they're cursing and swearing at me and treating me like a normal opponent."

Villa won't be there.Several important players, including Philippe Coutinho, whose time on the field against Everton was cut short by a thigh injury. Coutinho now shares the treatment bench with players like Emiliano Buendia, Tyrone Mings, Leander Dendoncker, and Alex Moreno.

Diego Carlos, who came off the bench in the victory over Everton, may start in place of Ezri Konsa or Pau Torres. Dibu Martinez might be benched in favor of Robin Olsen, but Unai Emery might err on the side of caution and leave his starter in place.

Martinez; Digne, D. Carlos, Torres, Cash; McGinn, Tielemans, Diaby, Bailey, Zaniolo; and Watkins make up the probable Aston Villa starting lineup.
